Video Podcast

Here are my students reciting the "ABC's of Thanksgiving" script. They had a great time participating and watching themselves live in a video broadcast. Seeing how easy this was to produce, we will even be able to enhance their weekly news audio podcasts to video podcasts. I was able to video them through imovie and transfer it to my podomatic account. It did take longer for it to be published with all of the video clips, and watching the video is a little choppy. However, I think students appreciated seeing themselves in action.

Lauren,

That was a great way to incorporate vodcasts into your classroom. I'm sure you students really enjoy watching and listening to themselves. I did a similar activity with my students. They are really proud of themselves after they accomplish a task like these. Great job with your project!

I really enjoyed seeing the results of your project. This seems like such a great way for students to feel as though they have ownership of their work because they can see themselves in it. I will have to try this out!
